Norfwesp, “l4t da gyals slay”
Norfwesp is an underground music artist from Nassau in the Bahamas, hoping to become the king of both pirates and the underground music scene by creating a new wave of hip-hop culture for the youth of his island.
Coming from a bloodline of various musicians and singers, Wes has been making music throughout his life and takes inspiration from those around him who pursue their creative dreams in a region where professional music is not common practice.
Norfwesp has the ability to transmute his energy and feelings from his relationships with friends, family, and romantic situations with women, into music and process his thoughts poetically for the listener to relate to.
In an exclusive interview with RSO Underground, Norfwesp discusses some of his current creative processes of trial and error associated with creating his tracks, especially the new single “l4t da gyals slay”.

Who are you?
I’m wes, King of the Pirates, the one who will become King of the Underground and collect the One Piece. 🏴☠️
Where are you from? (How is the music scene there?)
Nassau, Bahamas. Nobody really focuses on the music scene here, but I’ll be the one to change that.
Why did you get into music?
Music innately runs through my blood, from singers all the to musicians in bands.
Who and what inspires you?
All my friends/family around me. They inspire me everyday to make better music and become better than I already am.
Do you have any stories of your artistic journey to share?
Not really, I’m still going through a process of trial and error. Figuring out how to do things properly and how to discern what’s going on around me.
What song/project are you currently promoting and what is the story behind it?
My new single “l4t da gyals slay”. It was inspired by a woman I was emotionally attached to. Things didn’t work out how it was supposed to but since she was still stuck my head, I ended up trying to make a song to get her out of my head.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m secretly a pirate😫
