Shaked Nene is a young underground musician rising out from the capital city of South Africa, Bloemfontein. Beginning his musical journey with creating tracks on mobile apps from the ripe age of 9, this artist has spent his life cultivating and evolving the city's buzzing local music culture.
Alongside fellow South African artist Xi Mercy, Shaked Nene has created a variety of diverse tracks including their most recent collaborative releases “Tripping” and “The Girl Love”.
Shaked Nene’s story and global success outside of South Africa inspire other ZA youth to follow their passions and create music & art utilizing the software and tools already at hand.

Who are you?
I am Oneiloe Fuku professionally know as Shaked Nene and am a artist from South Africa
Where are you from? (How is the music scene there?)
I am from Bloemfontein a city in South Africa.
Why did you get into music?
Rapping has always been something I loved, but it all started when I was 9 years old on a mobile app called 'tune me' then moving on to 'Voloco' then 'Bandlab' the eventually 'FL studio'.
Who and what inspires you?
Kanye West, because he has always made music in a certain unique way and I look up to him because I want to be the best and different.
Do you have any stories of your artistic journey to share?
Yeah, I started taking music seriously in 2023 and prior to that I was a YouTuber but I wasn't massive, when I said I was releasing a song alot of rappers said I shouldn't, I did it anyway now have earned most of them's respect.
What song/project are you currently promoting and what is the story behind it?
Tripping by me and Xi Mercy, it's my song and I made it cause I caught feeling for a girl and I understand why.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
That I don't write my music and I just punch in, I can definitely write tho.
